Dr. Betsy Walters, originally from Short Hills, New Jersey, and was raised in Boulder, Colorado. She graduated with distinction in biology from Stanford University before pursuing her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at UC Davis, where she graduated in 2015. Following her studies, Dr. Walters completed a small animal internship in emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and general practice at VCA PetCare in 2016.
After gaining valuable experience at another small animal hospital in the Sacramento area, Dr. Walters is thrilled to rejoin the VCA family. Her professional interests include preventative care, dentistry, and dermatology.
Outside of VCA Loomis Basin, Dr. Walters enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Bryan, and their two children, Lydia and Henry. Their family also includes three dogs: Samson (a Bernese mountain dog), Daisy (a Newfoundland), and Gordon (an English bulldog). In her free time, she loves playing and coaching volleyball, baking, exploring the outdoors, and reading.
