Dr. Daphne Descollonges joined the VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic team in August 2007. Before coming aboard, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine at VCA PetCare East Veterinary Hospital, where she focused on emergency care, general practice, and surgery.
Originally born in Paris, France, Dr. Descollonges moved to Santa Cruz with her family at the age of two. She pursued her passion for medicine and animals, earning her bachelor's degree in animal science from UC Davis in 2002, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from UC Davis in 2006. Her professional interests encompass soft-tissue surgery, emergency care, critical care, and general practice.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Descollonges enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She also loves biking, camping, traveling, cooking, and cherishing moments with their dog, Trixie.
